CONCOURS TECH SESSION - Photo Gallery
No Harm Done
by: Fred Young & Bill Kreager
That is the advice at our Concours Tech Session from Bruce Gearns and Bob Adamo when it comes to cleaning your car. Start with water and work up from there using a mild soap if necessary. Try to avoid stronger solutions. Above all stick with proven washes, cleaners and polishes by reputable car care companies. Stay away from home remedies, abrasives and caustic solutions. Furthermore, contrary to popular opinion, not all concours enthusiasts are crazy - just ask Bruce or Bob. Besides if you keep your car clean on a regular basis the job becomes much easier when entering a concours.

John Denyer and Ted Dunham gave us a judges' perspective on judging a concours and why sometimes judges nitpick in order to have a clear winner emerge. A detailed explanation of various classes was also given to the attendees along with the latest judging techniques.
A big thank you to the 35 members in attendance: our presenters - Bruce, Bob, John, and Ted; and Griot's Garage, Mequiar's and Mother's for the generous donation of door prizes, sample products, and catalogs.
